Ken-chi IMAMURA / Managing Director

Documentary producer based in Japan, with a long career at NHK and extensive experience in international co-productions, pitching forums, and talent development. He has supported over 100 documentary projects and participated in more than 100 industry events worldwide. He is also one of the founders of Tokyo Docs and oversees the overall strategy and operations of the project.

Asako FUJIOKA　Role: Networking

An independent consultant and producer dedicated to strengthening creative documentaries in Asia. With decades of experience at Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival and major international festivals, she supports filmmakers through mentoring, networking, residencies, and international distribution, fostering global exchange for documentary creators and audiences. 

Takahiro HAMANO　Role:  Creating

He began his career at NHK Hiroshima in 1990, working on major current-affairs and documentary programs. After studying film production at the American Film Institute, he contributed to over 40 international co-productions. He became the first Asian recipient of the Doc Mogul Award at Hot Docs. As planning producer and co-producer of Burning, the film received the FIPRESCI Prize at Cannes. 

Yusaku  KANAGAWA  Role: Learning

A former newspaper visual journalist and documentary producer. He covered major global and domestic events before studying documentary filmmaking in New York, where his films were nominated at international festivals. He later led short documentary initiatives and documentary programs, and now focuses on nurturing creators and developing impactful nonfiction storytelling.
